MarylandFeed operates marylandfeed.com. We collect as little about you as we can, and this page says exactly what that is.
The short version
- You can read MarylandFeed without an account.
- We do not run analytics or ad tracking, we do not set cookies for readers, and we do not sell your information.
- We only keep what you choose to send us through our forms.
What you send us
When you use our contact form, tip form or newsletter signup, we keep what you submit (for example your message, and your name and email if you give them) so we can read it and reply. Contact and tip messages are emailed to our news desk. To block spam we also store a scrambled code made from your internet address instead of the address itself.
Newsletter signups are kept until our newsletter launches. When it does, we will move them to our newsletter service and update this page.
Your light or dark mode choice
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved only in your own browser.
Who helps us run the site
- Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks. Like any web host, it processes technical information such as your internet address to do that.
- Railway hosts the site and its database.
- SendGrid delivers contact and tip messages to our news desk's inbox.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Children
MarylandFeed is a general news site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our stories link to other sites, which have their own privacy policies.
Changes
When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
