The decedent is identified as 60-year-old Maury Jackson of Hagerstown, Maryland. The involved HPD officers are Sergeant Thomas Wolfe, an 11-year veteran, and Officer Mason Kiessling, a 1-year veteran.

Decedent and Officers Identified in Fatal Police-Involved Shooting in Hagerstown
BALTIMORE, MD, The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General has identified the decedent and the Hagerstown Police Department (HPD) officers involved in the fatal police-involved shooting that occurred on Friday, October 23, 2026, in Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland.
The decedent is identified as 60-year-old Maury Jackson of Hagerstown, Maryland.
The involved HPD officers are identified as Sergeant Thomas Wolfe, an 11-year veteran, and Officer Mason Kiessling, a 1-year veteran. Both officers are assigned to the Patrol Division.
